David’s Support Group: Life After Religion LEARN MORE

David Hansen is a Licensed Master of Social Work (Texas License #111943) based out of Plano, Texas. David uses Systems Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Theory, and Person in Environment Theory with a strengths based and empowerment approach to provide support to teens and adults.

David’s approach to therapy is to meet clients where they are at, listen to their concerns, and make specific therapeutic goals to accomplish. David excels at creating safe spaces for people to talk and explore themselves. David is a secular, spiritual therapist that specializes in religious trauma recovery, identity development, men’s development, and polyamory/ethical non-monogamy. David loves to help people find their potential and understand themselves through intentional, actionable steps. If a client says, “I want to love myself,” that is followed by real discussion about how that works and goal setting for how it can be accomplished in the client’s life.

David is also an excellent therapist for those in their spiritual journey as he has personal experience with meditation, chakras, reiki, plant medicines, breath work, sound baths, and somatic release.
